Dwayne Johnson sure does know how to take care of his mother. On her 75th birthday, Ata Johnson received an extra special surprise from her son.
The 51-year-old actor posted a video to his Instagram on October 25, 2023, of him serenading his mother with his own rendition of Neil Sedaka's "Happy Birthday Sweet Sixteen," which has gained over 800,000 likes. "Before I even start singing to my mom her special Happy Birthday song, she starts to cry probably because I always sing in keys that don’t exist ♂️," he started off the caption.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!!" the caption continued. "75 years of experience, wisdom, hard times, good times, laughter, mana, and yet thru it all — you TRULY have the KINDEST HEART I have ever known ❤️ I feel like the luckiest son on earth. Happy Birthday Mom. Ou Te Alofa Ia Te Oe ."
In the video, his mother is seen strumming the ukulele while he sings the song. She even jumps in to correct him by saying "Woman," after he sung the line, "You've turned into the prettiest girl I've ever seen."
