Birthdays are a time to celebrate making another trip around the sun. Alright, alright, actor Matthew McConaughey turned 54 years old on November 4, 2023. He made sure to celebrate the big day surrounded by family and friends and enjoying some football and tequila.
Matthew’s son, Levi, also took to Instagram to mark the occasion. He posted a lovely tribute to this dad, celebrating the man his fans do not get to see. It appears that Levi truly loves his dad and is grateful for all he does for him.
“People know Matthew Mcconaughey as an Actor and now a writer, but I know him as my father,” Levi’s post began. “The man who always makes time for us no matter what, the man who’s always there for us no matter what, and the man that taught me to appreciate the journey and not just the destination. The journeys just getting started…Happy birthday Papai.”
Matthew is a father of three children whom he shares with his wife of 11 years Camila Alves. Their eldest is Levi, 15, next is Vida, 13, and the youngest is Livingston, 10. Matthew loves being a dad. He recently wrote a children’s book titled Just Because based on his adventures in fatherhood.

On his big day, Matthew and Camila attended a party celebrating the launch of their new tequila brand, Pantalones Organic Tequila. Later, they cheered on the Texas Longhorns who beat the Kansas State Wildcats. Matthew was presented with a birthday cake and bottle of his tequila by the hosts of Big Noon Kickoff.
“It's not too early to start sipping this, is it?” he mused. He didn’t think so. He poured himself some and said cheers. “Here’s to 54,” he said.
Matthew also joined the Longhorns on the field. He made sure they were primed and ready for action by leading them in the same chest-pounding chant he made famous in The Wolf of Wall Street. No wonder they beat the Wildcats.
