American broadcast journalist Linsey Davis has been filling in for him. Michael, 51, is often absent on Monday episodes when he's hosting Fox NFL Sunday in Los Angeles, California, and has to spend his Mondays traveling back to New York City. But this particular absence is causing a growing concern among fans.
Michael has also been missing from his regular Fox NFL Sunday shows. Fans have started leaving comments on his most recent Instagram post, which was shared on October 25, 2023.

"Where are you? Haven’t seen you on GMA or Fox football," one fan commented, while someone replied speculating that it was due to a personal family matter.
Another commented: "Hope you are okay Stray!! Miss you on NFLonFOX."
On X, formerly known as Twitter, a fan posted: "Michael where are you? That’s like 2 Sundays in a row! Have you just left or are you terribly sick? Anyway please come back soon!"
Michael's cohost, Curt Menefee, said that the former football player was out dealing with a "personal family matter" on the November 5, 2023, episode of FOX NFL Sunday. He didn't provide any further detail.
Good Morning America has not shared any comments regarding his absence. As of now, it's unclear when he is expected to make a return to the show.
People also noticed that Michael's twin daughters, Isabella and Sophia, haven't posted on their social media recently either, not even to celebrate their 19th birthday on October 28, 2023.
While the TV host is known to lead a pretty private life, it isn't stopping fans from worrying.
