After a long 119 days, SAG-AFTRA, the union representing actors and other media professionals, reached a tentative agreement with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers on November 9, 2023. Next, the deal will go to the board of directors and if they approve, guild members will get a chance to vote on it. Everyone in Hollywood and beyond is excited to get back to work.
Kevin Bacon celebrated in a way only he could. He recreated his iconic dance from the 1984 film Footloose. He still has the moves at 65 years old.
Kevin posted his celebration recreation on all of his social media platforms. He performed the dance in his unfinished Connecticut barn. He has gained popularity on TikTok for his videos of his goats.
Kevin’s followers could not get enough.
“Bacon still got the moooves baby!! ,” gushed one user on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.
“This is everything I needed today,” chimed in another.
“We don’t deserve you,” agreed someone else.

Kevin was blissfully ignorant about Footloose’s genre when he was making it. Perhaps that is why he is so good in it. “When I did the dance movie, I was not a dancer. I wasn’t trained as a dancer,” he stated on the Podcrushed podcast. “If I’m being honest, I didn’t even really understand that it was a dance movie. I thought it was just a movie, and then, where they would indicate that there was dancing, I would just get up. It’s not a big deal. Just play the record for me and I’ll jump around.”
The movie catapulted Kevin to fame and pop culture icon status. He wasn’t too sure about all that. He wanted at the time to be considered a “serious” actor. It seems like these days he has embraced the many facets of his career.
