Michelle Turner, a health care professional and single mom with two young boys, was participating in a peaceful protest in Sacramento, California, in 2020 against George Floyd's death.
After the demonstration, Michelle returned to her car to find it had been completely vandalized. The windows were shattered, the doors were broken, and the sunroof was in pieces. Glass was everywhere.
The damage was so bad that she knew she'd have a very difficult time paying for the repairs.
Just then, a total stranger named Berry Accius happened to be walking down that same street when he noticed Michelle, who had just seen her car and was agonizing over the wreckage.

Berry, a local community organizer and youth activist, knew exactly what he needed to do — and it wasn't to just keep on walking past her.
Instead, Berry approached Michelle and literally gave her his shoulder to cry on.
The next day, he took his kindness a step further for his new friend (as you'll see in the video below) — and it's proof that humanity can prevail.
