Shawn was a determined teenager who habitually walked to school on his own. One day, his neighbors took notice when he came out of his house and started the walk to school with a large tire dragging behind him.
Some people in his community dismissed it as a weird teenage thing that couldn’t be explained, while others thought it was his attempt at trying to get attention.
“What’s this boy doing? Teenagers these days are always trying to do something to go viral,” a woman named Mrs. Johnson exclaimed as she watched Shawn.
When one of Shawn’s other elderly neighbors, Mrs. Jenkins, asked him about his new activity, he simply explained to her that it was a new daily ritual he had taken on and left it at that. The boy assured his worried neighbor that it was a personal mission that he felt compelled to complete each day.
Mrs. Jenkins began filming the teen from her window each day. Some of the other members of the community told her that she was just encouraging this bizarre behavior. She quickly dismissed them and continued her show of support towards Shawn’s daily quest.

Even though Shawn had started to receive veiled threats from some of the other people who were keeping watch of his daily activity, he persevered. He felt that they would one day understand why he was doing what he was doing and that’s all that mattered to him.
