Shawn Johnson East adores her children with all her heart, and she's got the tattoos to prove it now! On February 5, 2024, the Olympic gold medalist showed off her new tattoos that are dedicated to her three children: 4-year-old daughter Drew Hazel, 2-year-old son Jett James, 1-month-old son Barrett "Bear" Madison. She also showed off her ink for her husband, former NFL player Andrew East.
In addition to the four tattoos honoring her family, she also has one of a honeybee on her wrist, in tribute to Madison's Reserve, which is the honey business she owns with her husband and his family.
The tattoo for Drew Hazel is in a cursive font. The ones for Jett James and Bear Madison are in a block lettering font, Jett's in lower case and Bear's in all caps. On her shoulder is a cursive "A" for Andrew.
She posted a video to her Instagram of her getting the new ink by a tattoo artist from Salt Lake City's Tiny Tat Club. "Sooooo I did a thing," she captioned the video. "Maybe a few things…"

While some people didn't really think the tattoos were that important, other fans complimented them.
"I love ur tattoos ❤," one person stated.
"Your family is beautiful," another person commented.
The new ink comes less than two months after the former gymnast gave birth to her third child. She recently opened up to E! News about how well Jett and Drew have adjusted to another sibling.
"Jett has actually done really, really well," she said. "This little dude is his baby. He wakes up asking about him, he breaks out of his [own] room and breaks into his room. He's in love with him and we try to celebrate that instead of hold him back, which has been really fun."
"We haven't had to deal with jealousy or the harsh transition with them," she added of her two older kids. "We've had a great experience and they've been little helpers, which has been awesome."
Shawn and Andrew met in 2012. They got married in 2016, and three years later welcomed their daughter in 2019. Jett came not too long after, in 2021.
In January 2023, the mother of three made a heartfelt post for her husband. "Things my husband doesn't know," she wrote. "I count down the hours until he gets home because I miss him. I love the way he lights up our home with his presence. I cherish the way he loves me and our children. I love the way he handles my attitude with grace. The little things he does will never go unnoticed." In her caption she added, "I love doing life with you. @andrewdeast."
