Marie Osmond Loves Being A Grandma And Gushed ‘It’s Like Having Your Kids On Steroids’

Being promoted to grandma is a special honor. Marie Osmond is so glad she was given the privilege. She opened up about this on the March 20, 2024, episode of The Drew Barrymore Show.

Marie has eight grandkids. She is so glad her eight children blessed her with them. She shares Rachael, Jessica, Michael, Brandon, Brianna, Matthew, and Abigail with ex-husband Brian Blosil. Michael died by suicide in 2010. She shares Stephen Jr. with husband Stephen Craig Sr.

"I thought I'd never love anything as much as my children," Marie gushed. "Oh my gosh, grandchildren are like having your kids on steroids. I mean, it's just like, so cool I can't tell you."

It is natural that being a grandma is just more fun than being a parent. There are fewer rules and more play. "And as a parent, you have to guide them,” Marie explained. “You're not their friend, you're their parents. When you're the grandma, who cares? I can do anything I want."

Marie is reportedly worth $20 million but has chosen not to leave any of it to her kids. "I've never seen a trust fund baby that knows who they are and has a desire to get out in the world and become something,” she explained in 2020. "I help my children, but my job isn't to spoil them. My job is to spoil my grandchildren."
