Grab your tissues and get ready for the waterworks, because this is one of the most wholesome interactions that you'll ever see — and hopefully Ring uses it as its next ad! Katie Newton's neighbors, Sydney and Trevor Melton, were expecting a baby.
Katie relied on her doorbell camera to stay updated about when the expecting parents would bring their little one home. “Once it was the week of her due date, I was curious to know when their car would disappear and when they’d be at the hospital,” she told TODAY.com.
After the due date passed, Katie and Sydney ran into each other in the hallway. “I ran into her the day after her due date and said, ‘I’m so tempted to check my Ring camera every time I get a notification that there’s movement at my door because I am curious if it’s you guys running out with your hospital bags ready to go be in labor,’” Katie said. From that day forward, the Meltons notified their neighbor through her camera.
“Still pregnant,” Sydney can be seen saying to the camera in one clip. “Still pregnant,” Trevor says in another update. This goes on for a while until the final clip of the video where Syndey and Trevor are seen walking up the stairs with their newborn baby in tow. “We had the baby,” Sydney is heard whispering to the camera. “Not pregnant,” Trevor added with a smile.
