A woman in Colorado claimed she was fired from her job for revealing how much her pay increase was. Lexi Larson made a TikTok that celebrated her jump from $70,000 a year to $90,000, but her employer found it and ended up terminating her from the company.

Lexi explains, "My employer found my TikTok. They said my social media post made them question my judgment as an employee."
Traditionally, some have had an issue with people revealing what they make. However, many are now arguing that salary transparency is something we should all celebrate.
CNBC's Sharon Epperson agrees. She told Inside Edition, "We should be talking about what we’re getting paid, because we want to make sure there is transparency. That can help to eliminate or reduce bias and that can help close the wage gaps we’re seeing based on gender and race."
