Paris Hilton’s Kids Won’t Be Getting Phones At A Young Age: ‘Going To Be The Strict Mom’

Paris Hilton has built a whole brand around being a party girl by making use of tools such as social media. This doesn’t mean the mom of two wants her kids to necessarily follow her example. She is actually hoping they will take after Dad Carter Reum, who is a tech entrepreneur.

Paris opened up about this on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at The Wall Street Journal's The Future of Everything Festival. Carter and Ryan Knuston were also part of the discussion. Someone asked Paris when her kids would get phones.

"I hope that they are nerds like their dad and don’t want anything to do with that," Paris stated lightheartedly. Smartphones can open kids up to outside influences beyond their parents' control, which is scary.

“I’m going to try to not have them have a phone for a while because I think it’s just…some of these kids are just getting phones at way too young of an age and there’s just so many things online that I wouldn’t even want my children to be exposed to," Paris mused.

Paris’ answer even surprised herself. "So I never thought I would say this, but I’m going to be the strict mom,” she added. She is going to have rules.
