Former NFL quarterback Tom Brady might be at least partially responsible for Gisele Bündchen and Joaquim Valente’s alleged split. The last time Gisele and Joaquim were spotted together was in late April 2024, and a source has told In Touch Weekly that the infamous comedy roast of Gisele's ex-husband Tom might have something to do with it.
The Netflix roast, The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady, was hosted by Kevin Hart and was an opportunity for comedians and former teammates to roast Tom, and as many would suspect, his ex-wife Gisele was also roasted.
The source told In Touch Weekly that Joaquim wasn't a fan of being in the spotlight because he's "a regular guy." (Joaquim is a jiu-jitsu instructor.) Tom's Netflix roast only made it worse, the source explained.
"Joaquim became part of the joke," the source told the outlet. "People actually started asking him if he was the reason for their divorce. He hated that.”
The source also added that Gisele blames her ex-husband for the issues in her relationship. "By agreeing to do the roast, he basically put a target on Joaquim’s back," the source told the outlet.

On The Pivot Podcast, Tom revealed that he had some regrets. While the jokes about him were "so fun," he later realized that the roast negatively "affected actually the people that I care about the most in the world" — his kids.
He later told Entertainment Tonight that "the hardest part for me was my kids having to hear some tough things and, you know, hopefully we all learn from the experience."
A source also told the outlet that Gisele was "upset and hurt," and that "her main concern is always her children and family and she wants to protect them."
