Inside Bucklebury Manor, The $6 Million Estate Where Kate Middleton Spent Her Recovery

More than 17 acres of land worth around $6.2 million, with an outdoor swimming pool, tennis court and ballroom: that is the country estate of Kate Middleton’s parents, where the Princess of Wales spent much of her recovery after her cancer diagnosis. The Sun has published pictures of Bucklebury Manor, the country home bought in 2012 by Carole and Michael Middleton, which is located in Berkshire, about a 45-minute drive from Kate’s home, Adelaide Cottage, near Windsor. It’s a convenient arrangement for the future Queen and mother of three.

Royal political expert Ingrid Seward told Fabulous: “The Middletons’ house is gorgeous. I think it’s an old manor house. It’s got loads of land. I think there’s a stream running through it. The tennis courts are quintessentially Middleton. They’ve made it absolutely gorgeous. Bucklebury is a really nice place to be. There are lovely avenues of oak trees, so, yes, I imagine Kate feels very much at home there and also she’s got her mum looking after her.”

Perfect for the Princess of Wales’ convalescence, this Georgian property boasts seven bedrooms, five reception rooms, including a drawing room and library.

The royal expert added, “The Middletons are a very close family and they all seem to support each other and that is how Kate has been brought up. It’s probably why she’s able to cope with whatever life throws at her and I think they’re all sticking together and playing games like an old-fashioned family. They play tennis. They swim. They’re very sporty, but obviously Kate hasn’t been able to do very much sport while she’s been ill so I think she will have just played a lot of family games.”
