On Wednesday, February 26, 2025, Attorney General Pam Bondi suggested that forthcoming documents related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein would contain new, shocking information. Many of the documents that were actually released, however, contained information that was already known to the public. The Epstein documents released on February 29 included Epstein’s flight logs. Per People, President Donald Trump was listed on the flight logs.

According to People, Trump’s name appeared in the flight logs seven times. The flight logs were previously released through court cases. Though Trump flew on Epstein’s private jets several times in the 1990s, it doesn’t mean he had any involvement in Epstein’s crimes.
Per The Palm Beach Post, Trump previously described Epstein as “a great guy.” However, after Epstein’s 2019 arrest, Trump changed his mind and said he was “not a fan.” At the time, Trump said it had been 15 years since he last spoke to Epstein, Forbes reported. Epstein died in prison in 2019.

Trump is not the only high-profile person with known ties to Epstein. Court filings have previously mentioned high-profile people such as former President Bill Clinton, Britain’s Prince Andrew, and former Vice President Al Gore. When Attorney General Pam Bondi hinted at releasing Epstein documents with “a lot of names,” some people assumed that some sort of client list would be released. Online, many people have spoken about the release of an “Epstein list,” a list that is believed to contain the names of famous people who were involved in his crimes.
There is no Jeffrey Epstein client list. Period. It's a figment of the internet's imagination — and a means to just slander people. https://t.co/KIE3QoKeFJ

However, Julie K. Brown, the investigative journalist known for exposing Epstein, said that such a list does not exist.
“Do people think there’s an actual list that Epstein kept? Like a document titled ‘Perverts’ with a list of names?” one person wrote on X. In response, Brown wrote, “There is no Jeffrey Epstein client list. Period. It’s a figment of the internet’s imagination — and a means to just slander people.”
Per Vox and the Hill, before the Epstein documents were publicly released on Thursday, Bondi’s team put the files in binders and gave them to conservative influencers. The binders were labeled “The Epstein Files: Phase 1.”
A group of people left the White House on the pool cam, all holding binders. A few of them held up the binders to the camera, which showed that they were labeled “The Epstein Files: Phase 1.”

However, in a press release, the Department of Justice noted that “the first phase of declassified files largely contains documents that have been previously leaked but never released in a formal capacity by the U.S. Government.”
