Before being confirmed as the 26th United States Secretary of Health and Human Services, RFK Jr. made headlines due to his alleged affair with a journalist. Now, his wife is allegedly worried about him being alone in Washington, DC, due to his “lust demons.”
In September 2024, news broke that New York Magazine‘s Washington Correspondent Olivia Nuzzi was on leave due to “a personal relationship with a former subject relevant to the 2024 campaign.” RFK Jr. was running for president at the time. A statement shared by the magazine did not name 32-year-old Olivia as the person he allegedly had a “personal relationship” with, but sources later alleged that the relationship was with RFK Jr.
At the time of the alleged sexting affair, RFK Jr. was obviously married to Cheryl, his wife of more than 10 years. Now, sources allege that the Curb Your Enthusiasm actress doesn’t trust her husband to remain faithful when surrounded by “so many attractive women” in DC.
According to the Daily Mail, sources said Cheryl was “blindsided” by her husband’s sexting scandal. Because she can’t trust him, “she’s given him a strict ultimatum,” sources claim. An insider told the publication that Cheryl has asked her husband to move her to Washington with him.
“Cheryl doesn’t feel Bobby can be trusted one iota living on his own, in DC, even part-time, with so many attractive women and Kennedy groupies around, as he gets settled in his powerful new position,” a source told the Daily Mail.
At the time of RFK Jr.’s alleged affair, Olivia engaged to fellow political journalist Ryan Lizza. During the scandal, Olivia accused her ex-fiancé of blackmailing and harassing her. In response, Ryan alleged that Olivia had been “manipulated” by RFK Jr., who is 39 years her senior.
In his own court filings, Ryan claimed that RFK Jr. told Olivia that he wanted to “possess,” “control,” and “impregnate” her.
Daily Mail sources claimed that Cheryl is “still recovering from the emotional shock and pain” of this alleged affair. However, in December 2024, she seemed relatively unbothered as she shared a video of RFK Jr. showering to help promote her beauty line.
