Trump Insults ‘Dope’ Congressman With An ‘Ugly Face’ & He Fires Back Calling President A ‘Schoolyard Bully’

In the midst of his efforts to gain support for his “big beautiful bill,” President Donald Trump took the opportunity to call Maryland Representative Jamie Raskin (D), a “dope” with an “ugly face.” Unsurprisingly, Raskin is not a supporter of Trump’s controversial bill, and responded calling the president a “schoolyard bully.”

“This DOPE has been consistently losing to me for YEARS, and I love watching his ugly face as he is forced to consistently concede DEFEAT TO TRUMP,” the president wrote on Truth Social during a House debate regarding his proposed bill, which involves a slew of tax cuts and immigration control spending.

Opposer Raskin, who was the lead impeachment manager when Trump was impeached for the second time at the end of his first term as president, has argued that the big beautiful bill would increase the national debt and have a dangerous impact on health care availability for millions of Americans.

Raskin, represents many of the Washington D.C. suburbs in Maryland’s Montgomery County, and also helped lead the House select committee charged with investigating the January 6, 2021, attack on the US Capitol by Trump supporters attempting to block the results of the 2020 presidential election. So their beef has evidently gone back quite some time.

“Mr. President, you love playing the schoolyard bully but, at age 79, it’s time to cut it out,” the congressman wrote on X in response to Trump’s insults. “It’s one thing to steal one kid’s lunch money, but your bill STEALS LUNCH MONEY FROM MILLIONS OF KIDS. Now, that’s real ugly.”

After hearing Trump’s comments, Raskin said in an interview on MSNBC, “I suppose I don’t like being called ugly by Donald Trump, but not everybody can live up to his exquisite levels of handsomeness and personal physical grace.”
