Tucker Carlson is apparently eager to talk to Pete Buttigieg about gay sex. On an episode of The Tucker Carlson Show, Michael Knowles mentioned Buttigieg, who was the 19th United States secretary of transportation. Immediately, Carlson made the conversation about Buttigieg’s sexuality for some reason.
“The fake gay guy?” Carlson questioned. He then went on to say more about how he thinks Buttigieg is faking his sexual orientation for political gain. Though he said his “gay producer” also believes Buttigieg is a “fake gay guy,” he didn’t offer any evidence to support this claim.
“My gay producer is always like, ‘He’s not gay,'” Carlson claimed. “He was with a girl like 20 minutes ago, and like he wants to be the Democratic nominee, it’s like, ‘Time for a gay guy!'” Despite Carlson’s unfounded claims that Buttigieg was “with a girl like 20 minutes ago,” Buttigieg started dating his now-husband, Chasten Buttigieg, about 10 years ago, in 2015. They’ve been married since 2018 and share two children, whom they adopted in 2021.
These details might not matter all that much to the two conservative commentators, given that Knowles chimed in and accused Buttigieg of “playing the long game.” Carlson responded by saying, “Well, it’s suffering for your art.”
Carlson’s interest in Buttigieg’s sexuality didn’t end there. Later in the conversation, he said that he wants to interview Buttigieg so that he can ask him to describe gay sex in detail. “I’ve always wanted to interview him,” Carlson said. “He’s never agreed to an interview but I’m going to ask him like some very specific questions about gay sex and see if he can even answer. I doubt he even knows. You’re not gay, dude, stop.”
It’s also not the first time that Carlson has made these kinds of comments about Buttigieg. In 2024, on hisTucker Carlson Today show on X, Carlson referred to Buttigieg as “supposedly gay” and once again tried to use his “gay producer” as evidence to support this claim. According to Carlson, his producer must be a reliable source because “gays all keep close track of that stuff.”
“My producer goes, ‘It’s totally a pose. He was dating women just a few years ago. It’s totally fake. He’s not gay at all,’” Carlson said at the time.
