Star Actor Hospitalized After Complaining Of ‘Massive Headache’

Actor Liev Schreiber, perhaps best known for starring in the Ray Donovan TV series and the Scream film series, was hospitalized Sunday after complaining of a “massive headache.”

TMZ reports Schreiber, 58, is undergoing a “battery” of tests at a New York hospital. The actor decided to go to the hospital after first contacting his doctor Sunday.

“Out of an abundance of caution, Liev went into the hospital for testing and as of (Monday) afternoon, he has been cleared to return to work,” the actor’s representative said in a statement to People magazine.

It’s unknown if the tests revealed what caused the headache, Parade reports.

According to People, Schreiber dealt with a migraine in April 2024 that caused him to forget his lines in the Broadway production of “Doubt: A Parable.” He said the headache was so bad he couldn’t remember the name of his co-star, Amy Ryan.

Schreiber reportedly thought he was having a stroke, but he later was diagnosed with transient global amnesia (TGA), which is “a rare medical condition in which individuals experience a sudden episode of memory loss and confusion.”
