Canadian Comedy Sketch About Karoline Leavitt Hits All The Marks For Her Haters

Move over, Saturday Night Live, because apparently, the Canadian satire news show This Hour Has 22 Minutes just made fun of Karoline Leavitt in a big way. Or, rather, don’t move over, because we can’t have SNL stopping their spot on cold opens. But, perhaps, scoot over and make room. Because there is enough snark and enough material from the Trump Administration to go around.

This Hour Has 22 Minutes is similar in nature to The Daily Show where the political skits are concerned. And when a clip was posted showing the show’s thoughts on Leavitt and her place in the White House, users on X (formerly Twitter) applauded the writers. In the past, This Hour Has 22 Minutes poked fun at Donald Trump as well, so to turn its fangs on Leavitt wasn’t too surprising. But for those who never even knew the news show existed, it might be a fast favorite for Americans who are tired of everything about Trump and his political besties.

Even the Canadians are tired of Karoline Leavitt.

In the clip from This Hour Has 22 Minutes, Leavitt is shown as an erratic and rude press secretary. Where is the lie, right? This “fictional” Leavitt leads a meeting in the press room at the White House and assures the reporters that Trump is after peace, because, she minds them, after bombs go off in Iran, there is silence after.

“And isn’t that peaceful?” She tells the room full of reporters who, like everyone else, look absolutely baffled by Leravitt’s question.

She also says she isn’t worried about the war in Iran because she and Erika Kirk went in on a bunker, so there’s that. At this point, though, you might believe that Leavitt actually said these things in real life, which is sort of the point of the skit.

The show also makes fun of the rumors that Leavitt has had fillers as she asks if her fillers have shifted when she asks if she looks worried to the reporters in the room. And when someone asks for her comment about rumors that Trump took the U.S. military to Iran to distract from the Epstein Files?

“Well, did it work? Then duh, he obviously didn’t do that,” she says. “And if he did do that, he would need to pivot to another tactic immediately. And we are praying he will do that any day.”

Other users on X commented on the clip to share how realistic they think the portrayal is, because it truly is.

“The way this video auto-scrolled to real life Karoline going ham on a reporter,” one person wrote.

“It’s like a competition to see who can be the most chaotic/idiotic,” another person commented. “Between Karoline, Hegseth, Graham, Rubio, and Trump, I honestly can’t pick a winner.”

Someone else added, “This was so freaking funny…I thought it was really her. I bet her kids think it’s her, the same way Erika’s daughter thought she was Druski.”

The Canadian ‘news’ show has made fun of Trump before too.

In March 2026, This Hour Has 22 Minutes featured a skit with a parody of Trump visiting Graceland and asking questions that challenge his intelligence. He also wanders around a room and appears in one of Elvis’s memorable jumpsuits, but not before he claims that the White House is much bigger than Graceland and asks for confirmation about that.

And in one portion of the skit, when the press asks Trump about his thoughts on the war in Iran, Trump gives some comments that border on intelligible. However, it’s revealed that his answers are coming from the names of Elvis albums on the wall behind the group of reporters who are asking him questions. So no, the jabs at Leavitt are not the first made by the Canadian comedy news show.

Some are in agreement that America is just a joke now.

Other people who responded to the clip from This Hour Has 22 Minutes shared their disgust with how countries outside of the U.S. see it now, which many believe to be because of the Trump Administration.

“America has become a joke under the Trump Administration,” an X user wrote in response to the post.

“But, but he said we were no longer the laughing stock of the World,” someone else joked. “He wouldn’t lie to us would he???”

One person wrote that the parody is even worse than the real thing, especially when it comes to U.S. politics.

“Honestly the real one is worse than this parody of her,” they wrote. “Like many people in politics today, they are beyond parody.”
