Even though there’s no evidence that President Donald Trump wears adult diapers, there are a decent number of people who are convinced that he does. Scroll through the comments on any post about the 80-year-old president and you’ll likely find comments suggesting that people in Trump’s circle are bothered by the way he smells due to his alleged diapers.
Trump has not addressed the rumors himself, but biographer Michael Wolff has. During an episode of the Inside Trump’s Head podcast, Wolff said people ask him about this all the time, so he decided to share what he knows.
Wolff does not have any reason to think the rumors are true.

You know, beyond the ordinary concerns about Trump’s age and health. He does, however, know why he thinks people seem so attached to these diaper rumors. According to him, it might be because Trump is 80 years old and in spite of all the rumors circulating about his health, he does seem to be managing.
“I think people look at this guy and say there are laws of nature… which somehow appear not to apply to him—so there must be a vulnerability,” the Trump biographer said, per The Daily Beast.

Online, it seems like Trump critics are looking for signs that those around him are disgusted. Images and videos of people’s facial expressions when seated beside Trump have gone viral for this exact reason. These rumors were exacerbated by footage from Sen. Lindsey Graham’s funeral.
The viral clip shows a Secret Service agent sitting behind Trump and looking visibly disgusted. Of course, he was at a funeral, so there are a myriad of reasons as to why he could’ve looked the way that he did. But Trump’s critics were quick to assume that a repugnant stench caused by Trump was to blame.
Because of these rumors, people are dying to hear from people who have actually interacted with the president. Wolff is one of those people, but he clarified that it’s been a couple of years since he’s seen him, so he’s not exactly sure what he smells like today.
The last time he saw Trump, he didn’t notice any “odor.”
That was two years ago, though. Things can change. “I don’t know what’s happened and what might have happened in two years,” Wolff said. “But certainly up until that point, the last time I was with Donald Trump… there was no odor.”
And while lots of Trump critics have been talking about his alleged diapers for some time now, Wolff added that there’s “no evidence” of this. This doesn’t necessarily mean that the rumors aren’t true. And given that those who make comments about diapers don’t seem overly concerned about the lack of evidence (and they’re good at identifying apparent signs of diaper usage as well), the rumors will most likely persist.
As Trump gets older, people have raised concerns about his apparent naps, unhinged comments he makes, signs of cognitive decline, and frequent bruising, among other things. When Trump has addressed some of these concerns, he’s dismissed them.
