Some explosive claims about Lauren Boebert have come to light, but she says they’re totally baseless. After allegations of inappropriate relationships with both male and female staffers emerged, Boebert tried to set the record straight by opening up about her sexuality.
In a complaint filed with the House Committee on Ethics, the 39-year-old congresswoman is accused of having sexual relationships with three staffers. The complaint also alleged that she paid one of the staffers $200,000 to keep quiet. According to Boebert, there are several reasons why these allegations should not be taken seriously.
One of those reasons is that she’s “not a lesbian or bisexual.”
In response to these allegations, Boebert told Sources Say News, “Well, I’m not a lesbian or bisexual, and I have never, ever been in any inappropriate relationship, nor have I ever been sexually involved with any staff.”
Beyond that, a spokesperson representing her called the claims “utterly false” and emphasized that there’s “no truth to them whatsoever.”
According to the spokesperson, the person who came forward had another motive. “This is nothing more than a politically motivated stunt designed to manipulate the ethics process, create headlines, smear her, and generate clickbait,” they claimed.
Boebert also bashed the media for running with these allegations.

From her perspective, the way that these allegations against her have been publicized feels irresponsible. On Sunday, September 20, she took to X to share a video in response to the allegations. More specifically, she focused on how the scandal has been covered in the media in recent days.
She captioned the video with, “Hey, ‘journalists!’ This one’s for you.” In the video, she referred to the allegations as “garbage” and “salacious BS.”
She referred to the person who made the allegations — American Muckrakers’ David Wheeler — as “some sloppy, desperate, obsessive hack.”
Additionally, she criticized news outlets for drawing attention to her staffers.

“Nobody in your newsroom checked the rulebook before they put my teams’ names in your stories. Their photos are everywhere now. And they are under attack because of your laziness,” she said.
It’s not the first time Boebert’s alleged relationships have made headlines, nor is it the first time that she’s referred to rumors about her relationships as “clickbait.” Previously, she was questioned about her rumored relationship with Congressman Thomas Massie. At one point during a conversation with Fox News Digital, Boebert mentioned Massie, leading to a question about those rumors.
Boebert clearly did not appreciate the question. “F— you, first of all,” she responded at the time. “If you’re gonna bring me into this, like, this sexist stuff is out of control. There’s your clickbait that you were looking for.”
Last year, rumors even suggested she was romantically involved with musician Kid Rock. They were reportedly spotted getting into a cab together after chatting at an inauguration party. “Lauren was totally transfixed by the rock star, yapping away, doing a little dance, and clapping like she was front row at his concert — basically giving Kid Rock all the hype he needed,” a source told TMZ at the time.
