Getting enough sleep every night can be difficult, especially when there are factors you just can't control.
In the above video, a group of parents have a frank discussion about what really keeps them up at night. Ranting about everything from thunderous snoring to party animal neighbors, they all have something undermining their efforts to get a good night’s sleep.
One mom admits that bedwetting is a particularly challenging interruption to a good night of sleep because her young son, Carson, who is potty trained, isn’t able to stay dry at night. Even though bedwetting is actually pretty common — one in six of kids ages 4 to 12 experiences it like Carson — the exhausted mom admits she doesn’t know how to proceed.
"I'm trying to be compassionate and don't want his self-esteem to be impacted," she admits to her friends.
She’s not the only one. Parents who have a child who wet the bed can feel confused, frustrated, and even isolated – it’s not a topic a lot of people talk about.
It doesn’t take long for the other parents to weigh in and offer words of support. "My nephew has a problem with it, too," her friend says, admitting her sister swears by GoodNites Bedtime Pants, disposable nighttime pants designed to keep kids comfortable and confident by providing discreet nighttime protection so they can rest easy at night.
