After a mom had spent days in the hospital with her 9-week-old son, the last thing she needed was another inconvenient hurdle.
As she was leaving the hospital, she noticed something on her car that everyone dreads seeing: a parking ticket. However, when she unfolded the ticket, she saw something amazing inside: a note written by a stranger named Laura.
"Over the past few days I have been in hospital with my 9-week-old son," the mom wrote on Facebook. "We were discharged today and as I walked to my car, I noticed that I had a parking ticket. After those days in hospital, a parking ticket was one more thing that I didn't need.
"Well, to my surprise, when I opened the envelope there was a note from a lovely lady named Laura. I hope that Laura sees this and knows how much I appreciate her support. Thank you so much," she said.
The note read: "I saw your car had a parking ticket on it. I’m sure whatever you are going through at hospital is tough enough so I have paid for you. Hope things get better!"
The mom's post was shared almost 15,000 times. We have a feeling Laura has gotten wind of the gratitude.
It's such a simple gesture, but it can really make you feel like a weight has been lifted off your shoulders.
