When someone becomes a grandparent, their whole world revolves around seeing the child's sweet face as often as possible.
Unfortunately, many families move away from each other and have to rely on technology like video calls to keep in touch rather than getting to cuddle up with the real thing. That's also exactly why surprise visits like the one below are such an emotional treat for everyone!
It had been over a year since Grandma "Tutu" saw her son, his wife, and their daughter from more than just her phone screen.
There wasn't a special occasion for them to make the trip from Oregon to Los Angeles — the young family just decided to hop in their car on the spur of the moment. Of course, that only made the unexpected arrival even more shocking (and heartwarming!) for Tutu after she answered their phone call.
At first, her son told Tutu that they were just "taking a little walk." He tried to keep the conversation totally normal as they made their way closer and closer to the home.
But it didn't take long for Grandma to recognize the trees behind her son and granddaughter. She suddenly cut him off, saying "oh my God" when the surprise visit really began to sink in.
