Cop Pulls Teen Driver Over, But Girlfriend’s Confused When Officer Tells Him To Get Out Of Car

When you forget something, doesn't it feel like a chain reaction starts to occur — all of it stemming from that one misplaced item?

For example, you forget where the ketchup is. When you get up to look for it, you drop your plate of food.

Or you forget your wallet with your driver's license inside, and then the cops pull you over.

Both of those are extreme examples. Thing is, the second one actually happened to the couple below!

Well, maybe: For Evan, the teen in the video below, "purposefully forgot" might be a better way to describe it.

Evan and his girlfriend Gena were on their way to a dinner date when Evan suddenly realized he had forgotten his wallet at home. Rather than letting Gena pick up the tab, he decided to circle back to his house to get it.

When the ride took a different route than usual, Gena asked whether he had gotten lost.

"No — the cops are pulling me over?" Evan replied, looking through his rear-view mirror.

Indeed, the flashing red-and-blue lights were directly behind the couple. The officers came over and informed Evan that his brake light was out.

Then they asked him for his insurance and license — which he didn't have, due to a "purposefully forgotten" wallet.

Gena was more than confused when the cops asked Evan to step out of the car.
