I love a good gender reveal — the more creative, the better!
We've seen some truly impressive examples here at LittleThings, like the adorable couple who totally confused onlookers with a rainbow-confetti gender reveal.
For those of us who might have baby showers coming up this spring, it's the perfect time to start questing around for inspiration.
One couple, Americans stationed in Germany with the armed forces, offered up a truly adorable idea on the online image-sharing page Imgur!
Instead of a more traditional gender reveal, they decided to take inspiration from a favorite Disney movie: the Pixar classic Up!
They designed the big reveal around the adorable, traveling house from the movie, and carefully crafted a replica 'Up! house' by hand.
The only difference? Instead of a wafting cloud of rainbow-colored balloons, they picked one very specific hue.

One young couple made waves on Imgur with a truly adorable gender reveal that we are just itching to 'pin!'
The reveal was posted online, under the name MaliaKanani.
We don't know for sure, but we're guessing that Malia is the name of the proud mama in the images!
She shares that she and her husband, a member of the armed forces stationed in Germany, decided to take inspiration from a favorite movie for their gender reveal.
Skipping more traditional design ideas, they instead hand crafted an itty-bitty replica of the colorful little house from Up!
If you aren't familiar with the Disney/Pixar film, the house floats away on a big pile of balloons, launching a memorable adventure!
Malia and her husband aren't the first folks to bring the magical world of Up! to life.
Lots of people have recreated the house to scale, like the cute copy above.
Still, I don't think we've ever seen a gender reveal inspired by the sweet family film before.
In the post online, Malia explains that she has always wanted an Up! gender reveal, ever since she first saw the movie.
She adds:
I spent three days building the house, and my husband ordered the balloons, assembled them into the box, carried it to the shoot site, and guided me with eyes closed to the location.
He was so supportive and, as you can tell from the pictures, he was so excited to see my reaction!
The balloons were all carefully tied inside so that they wouldn't float away, and the couple took advantage of the beautiful European landscape to share their reveal.
They untied the roof of the itty-bitty house, and a wave of balloons immediately wafted up and out!
The balloons are all pretty shades of pink — for a bouncing baby girl! Malia adds that they will name her Lennon Micaela.
She closes out her gallery with the movie's tagline, "Adventure is out there!"
Since it's a movie about friendship, love, adventure, and learning from the next generation, we think it's a very appropriate choice for their exciting and busy lives!
If you love the idea of this beyond adorable gender reveal, be sure to SHARE the cute idea with friends and family!
