Barbara Corcoran of ABC's Shark Tank appeared on an episode of The View in October 2021. And honestly, who even knows what she was there to talk about, because what everyone is talking about now is the off-putting joke she made.
Actually, Barbara and her Shark Tank cohosts were there to discuss the new guest host on their show, Emma Grede, cofounder of the Good American clothing brand. But when they began talking about a pair of jeans, things got weird. Whoopi Goldberg expressed interest in the jeans, asking if they would come in her size. Barbara used it as an opportunity to make a rude, inappropriate joke at Whoopi's expense.
"When you get finished with those jeans and decide you don't like them, give them to me. I'm gonna make two pairs," Barbara said with a laugh. Instantly Whoopi's face dropped. She clearly looked burned, and the audience was quick to boo the bad joke, as well.
The WTF moment was clearly unsettling to all of the cohosts. Not only did Whoopi look pretty mad, Ana Navarro was ruffled, too. She was quick to come to Whoopi's defense, swiping back at Barbara.

"Wait, wait, wait. Whoopi, let me just tell you something," Ana interjected. "Sara Haines and Jill Biden wore that dress already on TV." The cohost was referencing the floral dress Barbara had on.
Ana was definitely not here for the joke. But seriously, what was Barb thinking with that comment? Don't come for Whoopi! Especially not on her own show.
For a business professional, that was not very, er, professional, Barb.
Barbara did later apologize for the comment, but all in all, the interaction was pretty cringe-worthy to watch.
"I just came back from 'The View' and saw my old friend Whoopi. She has a phenomenal sense of humor, and I've known Whoopi for years," Barb said in a video shared on her Twitter.
"I made a joke at Whoopi's expense, which I now realize wasn't funny. For anyone who I may have offended unintentionally, I just wanted to say I really am very sorry."
