We have all heard of the unsettling things that have come to light involving Bill Cosby. In 2018, he was convicted on charges of sexual assault, but it was overturned in 2021 by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.
There were five women who sued Bill Cosby for sexual assault, and once their stories came out, even more unsettling evidence — and past obvious red flags that formerly went unnoticed — surfaced.
Inside Edition posted a video on its YouTube channel of Bill Cosby and Sofía Vergara on The David Letterman Show. It was March 25, 2003, and Cosby was filling in for David Letterman, who was out sick with shingles.
Vergara was 30 years old and wasn’t well known in America. This took place years before she made her big break on the hit show Modern Family. When Vergara comes out and sits down, right off the bat Cosby starts making uncomfortable statements about her dress.
As he stares at her and looks her up and down, he says, “Now what you have on tonight is wonderful, this is wonderful and when you walked out many people became attentive.”
Shortly after his opening statement with his guest, things take an even more cringey turn. Cosby gets uncomfortably close to Vergara’s face and says, “You make me feel young again, you make me feel very, um, excited. Look at me.” You can clearly see how uncomfortable she feels, because she is avoiding eye contact with Cosby at all costs.
Inside Edition points out that at the time nobody thought much about this unsettling encounter between these two celebrities. Today, though, after learning about all of Cosby’s alleged disturbing actions, the world has a different point of view.
Inside Edition then shows viewers a room full of 26 women. There isn’t any context about these women, but I can only assume that they have an unfortunate connection with Bill Cosby. The video then switches to one of Cosby’s accusers, Victoria Valentino, and her reaction is, “It becomes very sinister.”
It is very refreshing to see when sexual predators finally get the punishment they deserve and have their horrible actions brought to light for everyone to see.
