A Boy With One Hand Cooks Soup For Dead Friend’s Granny & Receives The Most Wonderful Gift

Sometimes we really can’t know what other people are going through, but when you look at their hearts, hard work, and pure intentions, that’s when their inner glow really starts to radiate.

When Edward’s best friend George was diagnosed with a terminal illness, Edward promised him that he would always help look after his ailing grandmother, Molly. Both of the boys were just 9 years old, but they had been through a lot in their short lives and wanted to help take care of the ones around them.

Molly spent much of her savings to try to get her grandson well, but sadly, George died in his sleep one night.

When Edward was 7 years old, he got into a bad car accident with his mother and, as a result, his mom died and he lost one of his hands. Shortly after, his father abandoned him and he was left in the care of his widow grandmother.

Because he only had one hand, Edward was constantly teased at school. None of the other kids befriended him except for George, which is why the promise that he made to his dying friend meant so much to him.

One day after school, Edward stopped in on Grandma Molly for a visit. He noticed that she wasn’t looking very well and she told him that she was sick with a fever.

After he got home from Molly’s house, he decided to make this special soup that his mother used to make him when he was sick. He got out the cookbook and even though it was a difficult task to make soup with only one hand, he made it through the recipe with a lot of love and care.
