Masked Man Breaks Into A Church In Texas And Steals All Of The Sunday Service Offerings

Unfortunately, it’s a common thing to see people break into businesses, houses, and cars to try to find something that would benefit them. Most of the time, I assume they are looking for money or looking for items to sell for money. Have you seen someone break into a church before, though?

Inside Edition has shared a video of a masked man who is caught on camera stealing from a church in Texas. This blond-haired man is seen wearing a black baseball cap, a black long-sleeve shirt, and a black bandanna as a mask over his face. He is also carrying a backpack.

This situation occurred at LifeBrook Church in Houston, Texas. In the video, the man casually walks through the door, goes behind the desk, and starts going through everything.

The pastor of the church did an interview with the TV station KTRK and said that everything inside the church’s safe is gone, including the offerings from the prior Sunday’s service.

Even though the suspect stole from the church, the pastor, Zach Brackett, is forgiving of the man. When he was interviewed with Inside Edition, Brackett said, “When I see that video, I feel sorry for the individual, really. If I could communicate anything from us as a church, it would be, 'We forgive you.'”

This is not the first negative incident that has happened to this church, either. Recently, LifeBrook was struck by lightning, flooded, and had another break-in.

I find it wholesome that the pastor and the church forgive this man for stealing from them. In my opinion, I find that a person must be at a very low point to go out of their way to steal from a church. Stealing in general is a low point, but I hope this man changes his ways in the future.

Houston police have asked that if you know anything about the situation or recognize the man who was involved, call their number: 713-884-3131.
