Nikki Glaser is pretty sure she doesn't want to have kids, but one question does nag at her sometimes: "Why don't I want this thing that everyone seems to want?"
Nikki, 40, who is a comedian, spoke about her views on having kids when in conversation with Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager. "You see your friends wanting it so badly — genuinely wanting it — and you feel like, 'What's wrong with me that I don't want it?' You kind of feel left out," Nikki told Hoda and Jenna. She said she struggles with the question of why she doesn't want kids more than she wonders whether or not she wants them.
"That's what I'm struggling with more than just, 'Well, should I do it?' Because I'm kind of sure I don't want it. But I'm like, 'Why don't I want this thing that everyone seems to want?'" Nikki continued.
She also spoke about how "it's not fair" that women have "a limited time" when it comes to having kids, which can make the decision harder. "It's not like I'm mad at men about it, but there is this thing of like your value just plummeting when you aren't a sexual being anymore, when you're not fertile," she explained.
Nikki finds it kind of ironic that she is not really concerned about her fertility since she doesn't want to have kids, but "then I'm trying to hold on to it because it's what gets me attention from men. The prospect of, 'maybe I could put a baby in you' might make me hold this door for you."
She finds comfort in knowing that adoption is an adoption for her. Hoda, 59, has adopted two children, Haley, 7, and Hope, 5, and chimed in to tell Nikki that "adoption rocks."

"You've been such an influence," Nikki responded, "because I just, I have some time, and I really don't care if the baby looks like me. It's not really interesting to me."
