Boy Sells Cookies To Raise Money For Sick Teacher & His Selfless Act Changes Everything

The power dynamic between Linda and Henry was always something that put a wedge in their relationship. Even after they had little Derek and eventually divorced, Linda always held her success in her cosmetic business over her ex-husband’s head because she felt like money equaled power.

Henry told his ex-wife that even though he thought she was better than him, his son was going to grow up to be a generous and caring young man.

Derek was on his way to becoming a special young man as even at a young age, he was showing quite an aptitude for academics. Linda was proud of him for that, but one day soon, her pride was going to get hurt.

One day, Derek’s favorite teacher, Mrs. Lester, didn’t show up for class. Mrs. Lester always had a way of making her lessons engaging and fun, so Derek was disappointed when she wasn’t at school that day.

A few weeks went by without Mrs. Lester and their substitute teacher told them that she was on an extended leave and would hopefully make it back to class someday.

A couple of Derek’s friends happened to overhear some of the other teachers talking about how Mrs. Lester had cancer and was undergoing chemotherapy treatments. They also told Derek that they sounded a bit worried because Mrs. Lester had a family and her husband was having a difficult time covering all of the medical expenses.
