By now, most people know that Costco is a store that has just about everything anyone will ever need — and now we know that it even offers your doomsday needs! A viral Instagram post revealed that the warehouse store carries an apocalypse dinner kit that will last for up to 25 years.
As explained in the video, the buckets are called Readywise Emergency Food Supply and have 124 servings. "I guess this is for when the apocalypse hits, which could be anytime now — who knows?" said food influencer @pressureluckcooking.

The variety pack includes pasta Alfredo, cheesy macaroni, teriyaki rice, creamy pasta and vegetables, potato pot pie, tomato basil soup with pasta, chicken noodle soup, and brown sugar and maple multi-grain and apple cinnamon cereal, according to Food & Wine magazine. It also has crunchy granola, white rice, vanilla pudding, a whey milk alternative, and an orange drink.
The bucket price is listed at $79.99 online, but some in-store shoppers have found the item at a lower price. "This assortment isn’t just a temporary fix – it’s a long-term solution," Costco says on its website. "It’s a tangible expression of your dedication to ensuring you and your loved ones are cared for, no matter what lies ahead."

"If the apocalypse comes, where are you getting fresh water to prepare these dried meals?" one person commented, referencing the fact that the food has to be prepared with water.
"I like that someone thought to consider our desire for variety during the apocalypse," another person said.
