A Plane Crash Kills Pilot In A Gender Reveal Gone Wrong In Mexico

Every expecting couple gets to decide how they want to celebrate their pregnancy and the milestones surrounding it. Some opt for big gender reveals to announce the sex of their baby. One couple in San Pedro, Mexico, decided to have a pilot release smoke to indicate the gender of their bundle of joy.

The big reveal went horribly wrong on Sunday, September 5, 2023, when the pilot’s plane crashed after emitting pink smoke into the air. Sadly the pilot, identified as Luis Ángel, 32, died as a result. It is not known at this time what caused the crash.

The tragedy was caught on video. The happy couple was seen standing in front of a sign that said “oh baby.” Everyone was watching anxiously, awaiting the big announcement.

The crop-duster plane can be seen releasing pink smoke. Everyone shouts and celebrates the good news and pink confetti is released from a cannon. This is where things take a turn for the worse.

The camera follows the plane as the left wing collapses and the plane spins out of control. The right wing also collapses. The plane was last seen plummeting to the ground behind the tree line. The video then pans back to the couple, who are not aware of the incident.

Ángel was taken to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. No one else was injured in the crash and it is not known at this time what went wrong.
