Anyone pregnant who’s gone to the hospital toward the end of their pregnancy can likely relate to how it can feel scary but also very exciting because you know you will finally get to meet your baby soon.
This video story posted by Wonderbot shares how a pregnant mom was admitted for an emergency C-section at 31 weeks, only to have the doctor look into her uterus and ask where the baby was.
In January 2023, Tamara McPhedran went to her TikTok to share her pregnancy story in a two-part series that most would find incredibly shocking.
Tamara notes that she was 17 years old at the time of her pregnancy when she noticed that something felt off. When she was 14 weeks pregnant, she went to the doctor’s for an ultrasound and felt as though they dismissed her concerns due to her age.
In her TikTok videos, Tamara noted that as she got closer to her due date, she knew she was pregnant because they had done scans throughout her pregnancy and seen relatively normal progress. But toward the end, the fetus wasn’t where it should have been.

When she was around the 20-week point in her pregnancy, Tamara experienced another setback when she started bleeding profusely and had excruciating pain.
Eventually, she was able to go in for another ultrasound and it was discovered that Tamara had no amniotic fluid and there was concern about placental and fetal growth.
When she reached 31 weeks, she was admitted due to the hospital and during an emergency C-section, it was discovered that there was no fetus in Tamara’s uterus.
