"Call me, beep me, if you wanna reach me." Well, for Dolly Parton, the only way to reach her is to contact her through fax. Yep, you heard right. Those clunky machines are the only way that the 77-year-old country singer communicates.
In 2021, Miley Cyrus said that she could only reach her godmother by fax, and in 2023 the actress confirmed that it is in fact her preferred method of communication. In a recent appearance on The View, she opened up about why she prefers faxing over anything else.
The "Jolene" singer says she never entered the world of texting or email because she thinks it would take up too much of her time. She said: “Well, actually, I don’t want to get into that world. I’m surrounded by enough people.”
“Kenny Rogers used to aggravate me about it," she continued, noting that not everyone gives her an easy time for only using fax. "I said, ‘Look, I’ll send you a message by carrier pigeon if I need to get in touch with you and you always seem to know how to reach me when you want something.’”

In 2022, Reba McEntire also spoke of having to fax the singer, even to get in touch with her about their "Does He Love You" collaboration. "You don't call Dolly, you fax her," the 68-year-old said. "You fax your people and your people talk to her people. That's the only way I know to get ahold of her."
