Someone needs to stop Donald Trump from putting whatever pops into his head into an AI prompt. His latest AI-generated photo on Truth Social involves a photo of himself with former professional golfer Gary Player, and the original photo is so different that the upgrades with the AI-generated version are painfully obvious.
Trump posted the AI-generated version on his Truth Social account and wrote that he was with Player at Trump National Golf Club Bedminster. But, since Trump has slowly become known for ridiculous AI renditions of himself and of himself with other historical figures, his haters quickly called out the AI photo versus the original photo that does exist.

Trump really has a dedicated relationship with AI. In his post that has everyone talking, because it’s a clearly edited photo and not just a wildly inaccurate historical depiction of Trump with the founding fathers, Trump looks younger and, well, smoother, in a golf cart with Player. Trump wrote in the post, “With the great Gary Player, today, at Bedminster!”
And that isn’t untrue. But the photo itself is vastly different from the original one, that does exist. If you compare them side by side, the AI version features warmer colors, a background that almost looks like watercolor paint, and a different facial expression on Trump altogether. In the original, Trump’s mouth is open and he seems to be calling something out to photographers. In the AI-edited photo Trump posted on Truth Social, his mouth is closed and he looks a couple of decades younger.
He might have gotten away with the AI photo as another one in a long string of AI posts on Truth Social if there wasn’t an original photo to compare this one with. And when someone shared the comparison in a post on TikTok, other users commented to share their thoughts. Spoiler alert: everyone thinks Trump is obsessed with AI and most agree that the photo edit is ridiculous.
“It’s like oil painting texture lmao,” one user commented.
Another wrote, “He knows it’s not real, but he’s convinced his supporters will think it’s real.”
“This is why he wants data centers,” someone else wrote. “To keep creating AI SLOP.”

When Trump isn’t posting long rants about other politicians, past presidents, and various wars he wants the United States to be part of, he’s using Truth Social to share AI-generated photos for reasons beyond many. In early August 2026, he shared a clearly AI-generated image of a “drone port” on top of the White House.
He also posted a Trump 2028 poster but added, “Just kidding!” in the post. Then, there is the image of Trump edited with war heroes, one of Trump as a doctor with Rosie O’Donnell as a patient with “Trump Derangement Syndrome,” and a photo showing Trump signing what appears to be a map with Abraham Lincoln and George Washington.
It turns out, Truth Social isn’t doing too well.

If you go on Truth Social at any given time, you will likely be met with an immediate pop-up ad. From there, as you scroll through a feed, or just through Trump’s profile full of long posts and, yes, AI-generated photos, you might see some of the same ads over and over. But, despite selling ad space, Truth Social isn’t doing too hot.
According to AP News, Trump Media & Technology, the company behind Truth Social, lost $238 million over the course of three months in 2026. That can’t be good for the future of Truth Social. Does that mean Trump will give up his personal social media platform? Probably not. But the possibility of Truth Social failing is enough to bring a smile to the faces of those who are tired of Trump’s AI slop era.
