Amid conspiracy theories about Charlie Kirk’s death, Donald Trump Jr. and Bettina Anderson have both spoken out in support of Erika Kirk. In addition to showing up in court for suspect Tyler Robinson’s preliminary hearing, both Don Jr. and Bettina took to social media to make it very clear that they stand by Erika as some people continue to spread rumors about her.
Erika has faced a ton of scrutiny in the aftermath of her husband’s shocking death. People have questioned how genuine her grief is, accused her of trying to make money off of the tragedy, and made countless memes to mock her.
Bettina shared a lengthy statement on Instagram.

The 39-year-old socialite wrote that she and her husband were “honored to be in court alongside Erika and Charlie’s family” for two days. She also praised Erika, noting that she has “carried herself with extraordinary grace and courage.”
While there has been a lot of speculation about Charlie’s death, Bettina believes that the trial will offer some clarity. “As this judicial process moves forward, we have deep respect for the seriousness of the court, the evidence being presented, and the pursuit of truth, accountability and justice,” she wrote, tagging her husband in the post. “Over these past 2 days, we have heard and seen a significant amount of evidence, including extensive video footage, much of which has or will become public and will answer many of the questions that have been irresponsibly filled with speculation and false narratives.”
She accused people of “spreading lies for attention.”

Although there have been a decent number of people spreading rumors and conspiracy theories about Erika online, some people have defended her and said that she is still grieving. But her frequent public appearances and interviews have caused people to have doubts about her. Those who have defended her have made the argument that everyone grieves differently. In her post, Bettina also emphasized that Erika is a grieving widow.
She called on people to treat her with kindness as she navigates this tragic loss. “There is a PROFOUND difference between seeking truth through the judicial process and spreading lies for attention,” Bettina continued in her post. “Erika is not a public spectacle. She is a widow and a mother of 2 children who lost their father in an unimaginable way. She, her children, and Charlie’s family deserve to be treated with respect, dignity, and compassion.”
Throughout all of this, she and her husband have been “in awe of (Erika’s) strength.”
The socialite also added, “Charlie was so deeply loved, and his life, his voice, and his legacy continue to inspire so many. We remain committed to standing with Erika, their beautiful children, and the entire Kirk family as they walk through this painful process.”
In a much shorter post, Don Jr. also spoke up about the trial.

He focused less on what Erika’s going through, and more on the evidence against Robinson. “Fact: Tyler Robinson was on the Utah Valley University campus 4 times between September, 10 2025 and the early hours (approximately 12:40 am) on September, 11 2025,” Don Jr. wrote in an X post on July 7. “Major detail no one seems to be talking about: Tyler Robinson was not a student at UVU!!!”
During an appearance on Fox News, he described both Erika and Charlie as friends of his, and said Erika is “doing as well as she can be under the circumstances.”
He added, “She was obviously very grateful that Bettina and I were there to support her… She’s just a great person, a mother trying to get by, trying to fulfill her husband’s legacy. There’s obviously a lot of sadness in all of this.”
