If there’s one thing to note about singer Ed Sheeran — other than his amazing voice — it’s that he appears to have quite a connection to his loyal fans.
This video posted on YouTube shares a special moment from a show in Berlin, Germany, in April 2023 when Ed was singing a song unplugged and found himself enchanted by the singing voice of a nearby fan and decided to bring her up on stage with him for a song.
If you’re looking for a more traditional Scottish sound brought to you by none other than Ed Sheeran, the first few moments of the video showcase Ed taking a moment to tell the crowd that the classic song called “The Parting Glass” is often played at the end of the evening in Irish pubs.
As he’s singing that song to the quiet crowd before him, he seamlessly transitions into his hit song “Afterglow.” Before the singer can even get through a few verses, he immediately takes notice of a young woman belting out his song right alongside him off-stage in the audience.
Without a second thought, Ed stops singing for a moment and decides to pull her up on stage with him to sing an unplugged version of 2021’s “Afterglow.” It appears like a kismet pairing for an acoustic version of this song as their voices sound beautiful together.

According to NME.com, in March 2023, Ed made another fan’s day, a musical enthusiast who actually posts covers of many of his popular songs on YouTube, when he brought up 22-year-old Luke Gittins to perform “The A Team” with him in the O2 Stadium in London, England.
