Erika Eleniak, the iconic Baywatch star who captured the hearts of millions in the '90s, made a rare public appearance recently, and fans were taken aback by how unrecognizable she was.
The 1980s and 1990s were dominated by Baywatch, a television series that revolved around the lives of lifeguards patrolling the beaches of Los Angeles County. Erika Eleniak gained immense popularity for her role as Shauni McClain for the first three seasons.
Erika now has her arms covered in sleeve tattoos. She was walking her dog when she was spotted out and about, but she ditched the iconic red Baywatch swimsuit for a maroon tee, patterned pants, and flip-flops.
Besides her tattoos blowing us away, she also proved to the world that her natural beauty went nowhere, as she went makeup free. The mom of one is set to be involved in the upcoming documentary about Baywatch.
Erika was born and raised in Los Angeles and got her foot in the door early on. She appeared in Steven Spielberg’s ET when she was only 12. When she appeared on Baywatch for the first time in 1989, Erika quickly became an icon.
The same year she got her iconic role, she also posed for Playboy magazine and became one of the most eligible women in the world! Behind closed doors though, Erika was having a behind-the-scenes romance with costar Billy Warlock.
Her romance with Billy made major headlines, especially when they got engaged. Unfortunately, their engagement did not make it to an actual wedding. This was not the only shocking news Erika had for her fans. In 1992, she announced she was leaving Baywatch.

“When we first started the show, it was on NBC, which, at the time, was the most conservative network on television,” she said. “It did take a different direction. I felt like it was a different show and no, I was not comfortable. It definitely wasn’t my thing to be super risqué.”
Even though Erika left the show that shot her to fame, she has appeared in many films since. She lives a quiet life in California with her husband, Roch Daigle, and their 17-year-old daughter, Indyanna.
