If you’re a parent who has tried to take a toddler out to a restaurant for a meal, you can likely relate to the fact that those meals don’t always go as planned.
Courtney Pedigo was always someone who loved playing with her nieces and nephews growing up, so it was really no surprise to her family and friends when Courtney welcomed little Harlynn into the world.
Even though Courtney immediately fell in love with being a mom, she was also anxious at times. She had trouble giving up that sense of control, but one night, she decided that it would be good for her mental health if she went out to dinner with some family and friends with baby Harlynn in tow.
According to People, Courtney headed out for the evening to a local Olive Garden in Greensboro, North Carolina, to meet her stepmother and a small group of friends. Not even halfway through the meal, Harlynn started behaving in a manner that a lot of 18-month-olds do — she became fussy and “wouldn’t sit still.”
The news outlet reported that Courtney soon found her server, Nianni Rudder, and promptly asked for a take-out box so she could take Harlynn out to her car to finish their meal.

Only, when she asked her server for a box for her food, Nianni surprised Courtney by telling her to hang tight and to sit down as she would be right over to occupy Harlynn while Courtney enjoyed the rest of her dinner with her loved ones.
