Jane Fonda is probably the first person to tell you that she's been through a lot of phases in her life. In fact, this was the entire premise behind her 2018 documentary, Jane Fonda in Five Acts. Of all her phases, though, I've got to say it: This current "I do and say what I want because why not?" phase is probably the best one yet.
In September 2020, the beloved actress and activist sat down for an interview with Andy Cohen for his show, Watch What Happens Live. She was definitely in storytelling mode and surprised Andy with an anecdote about Michael Jackson from the 1980s.
"I found him touching, a very interesting character. I knew him well. I went to his house a lot. He came over to my house a lot." She later added, "I skinny-dipped with him, how about that? Put that in your pipe and smoke it."

It turns out that Michael lived with Jane for about a week while she was filming On Golden Pond.
Jane also described their cozy living arrangements. "When I was making Coming Home — not Coming Home</em>; On Golden Pond up in New Hampshire, he came and lived with me for about a week, in the same home. He slept on a mattress that he pulled out on the floor of the living room. I slept on a loft upstairs."
She also shared a hilarious story about an encounter she had with Kim Kardashian. Jane said she was sitting with Gladys Knight on the floor at a Clive Davis Grammy party when "I turned around to get up and right in my face was this shape. I thought, 'That is the most amazing behind I have ever seen.' And of course, it was Kim Kardashian."
Of course, Jane had to make sure Kim knew it. "And so I told her, 'I've just been staring at your behind and it's beautiful.'" Jane didn't share Kim's exact response, but she noted that the reality star and designer was "very sweet" about Jane's admiration.
Jane has definitely been keeping busy these last few months, and swinging by to drop interesting stories from her years on this planet has definitely been one of her activities. She also recently shared that of the men she's slept with, Marlon Brando was "disappointing."
She was asked if she always wanted to have a relationship with Che Guevara, but Jane denied it. However, she did drop the name of a man she wished she had taken up on an offer. "No, I don't think about him. Who I do think about, and what is a great regret is Marvin Gaye. He wanted to and I didn't."
Fans of Jane's hit Netflix series, Grace and Frankie, have been anxiously awaiting an air date for season seven. Unfortunately, production was halted in March 2020 and isn't scheduled to resume until January 2021. Jane explained the reason why to Al Roker, saying, "We're gonna go back the third week of January. You know, all of the leads are older, so they have taken extra precautions."
Jane costars on the show alongside Lily Tomlin, Sam Waterston, and Martin Sheen. She also shared that the cast has a wonderful bond, and they're looking forward to sharing the show in 2022.
"We're all very close. It's a happy set. I love Lily. When I don't see her on a regular basis, I need a fix."
While fans are definitely excited about season seven, that enthusiasm doesn't come without a little sadness. After all, this season will be the last one of the entire series.
In 2019, Jane and Lily released a joint statement noting that the ending of the show is definitely bittersweet.
"We are both delighted and heartbroken that Grace & Frankie will be back for its seventh, though final, season. We're so grateful that our show has been able to deal with issues that have really connected to our grand generation."
They continued, "And their kids, and amazingly, their kids as well! We'll miss these two old gals, Grace and Frankie, as much as many of their fans will, but we'll still be around. We've outlasted so many things—just hope we don't outlast the planet."
