Marvel Star Jeremy Renner Is In Critical Condition After An Accident With A Snowplow

Actor Jeremy Renner was seriously injured in an accident while plowing snow in Nevada, according to a spokesperson.

The Hawkeye star is "receiving excellent care," the spokesperson said. While he is currently stable, he remains in critical condition. Just after the accident, he had to be airlifted to a hospital near Reno.

The actor's family is reportedly by his side in the hospital.

The Marvel star has a home near the Mt. Rose-Ski Tahoe resort. The area got hit with a massive storm on New Year's Eve. About 35,000 homes lost power.

Jeremy Renner has been known for volunteering to plow snow in the area. He previously posted a video of him in the driver's seat of a snowplow on Instagram.

“I have so much respect for Mother Earth, and Mother Nature,” he wrote. “I expect to lose the fight but I’ll always give it my best shot.”

Just a few weeks ago, he posted a cheeky video of his Jeep racing around in the snow, having some fun in the winter weather. "Monday morning Pre winter preparation couldn’t be more fun !! #reno #tahoe," he wrote.

Jeremy isn't only known for helping out in the snow. He's also a volunteer fire chief and even launched a campaign to build a Tahoe fire station to “help fight fires” in December 2021.

“I’m actually building a station at the house in Tahoe because it is a hot zone for fires,” he told Kelly Clarkson. “I work with the fire departments up there and they are pretty awesome. They are teaching me and helping me, and I still have to get some more hours in with them.”

In addition to playing Hawkeye in the Marvel films, the actor is also known for starring in films like The Hurt Locker, S.W.A.T., Arrival, and the hit series The Mayor of Kingstown.

Jeremy Renner married Canadian model Sonni Pacheco on January 13, 2014. Sonni filed for divorce the same year. They share custody of one daughter.
