Jessa Duggar Seewald is expecting her fifth child. The TV personality, known for being on 19 Kids and Counting and Counting On, shared the news on social media on Saturday, September 9.
Jessa, 30, and her husband, Ben Seewald, are thrilled about the pregnancy. Jessa experienced a miscarriage in 2022. In a video, she said, "after a heartbreaking loss of our baby last year, just this past week, we found out some wonderful news that our rainbow baby is on the way and we could not be more excited."
Jessa and Ben got married in 2014 and share four kids. In a YouTube video in 2022, Jessa revealed that she had a miscarriage, describing the moment in which she found out. She said she "immediately started crying" due to shock since she only had very minor symptoms that suggested something might be wrong.
"I had minimal spotting for like 24 hours, and that was it," she said.
Her YouTube video announcing her pregnancy begins with a positive pregnancy test. Below the pregnancy test, Jessa added text that said, "We're so thankful for the gift of this precious life!" In the caption, Jessa wrote, "After a heartbreaking loss last year, we’re so thankful God has blessed us with a rainbow baby!" The YouTube video also shows a trip that Jessa and Ben took together without their kids, which Jessa noted was their first "real getaway without the kids."
