Jude Law's big international break came in 1999. He played the title character in the film The Talented Mr. Ripley. He was 27 years old at the time.
Jude is now 51 and his son Rafferty Law is following in his footsteps. Rafferty is now the same age as his dad was when he got his big break. The two could pass for twins. Rafferty looks just like his famous father.
Jude opened up to People about what Ripley meant to him. "I look back on that film now, it's strange to think it was 25 years ago," he explained. "My eldest son Rafferty is 27, and I wasn't much older than he is. I think I was the same age, actually." Jude is thankful for the doors that were opened to him after the film's success, even if it came with some challenges.
"I think there was an attention suddenly, to choices I was making, who was I working with," he explained. "Suddenly people cared about what was going on in my private life too. All of that was quite a lot to have happen at once. I look back and I'm really proud. I think I handled it pretty well."
Rafferty is now also an actor and model. Most recently, he appeared in the Apple TV+ series Masters of Air. His dad couldn't be prouder. "He's really good," Jude gushed. "I loved him in that show."
