Kevin Costner is donating all proceeds from his new song, "Find Your Way," to an organization that is helping those impacted by Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton. It's the first song Kevin Costner & Modern West have released in more than four years. "Today, @modernwestband and I are releasing our first song in more than 4 years in support of Hurricanes Helene and Milton recovery efforts," 69-year-old Kevin announced on Instagram on Friday, October 11.
In his Instagram post, the Yellowstone star explained the meaning behind the new song. "I’ve gone through seasons of darkness where I clung to the lyrics of songs that really carried me through," he wrote. "I hope that 'Find Your Way' provides that kind of refuge for anyone trudging through and losing sight of hope."
He explained that fans can choose how much to pay for the song, as he's using a pay-what-you-can model, with all proceeds going directly to Hope Force International. Per its website, Hope Force International "is a Christian response to disaster events that surround us at home and abroad, reaching out to those who experience suffering and loss."
Kevin noted in his post that he chose to donate the proceeds to this organization because people working with the organization are "on the ground actively helping in the areas devastated by these hurricanes."

Kevin credited everyone who helped bring the song to life, including his bandmates Park Chisolm and Teddy Morgan, singer-songwriter Kat Higgins, and organist Patrick Sansone.
"I hope it means something to you guys, and that you’ll consider purchasing it to benefit the victims of these terrible storms," Kevin said.
Kevin Costner is part of a growing list of musicians who have made donations toward hurricane relief efforts. Feeding America, which is a nationwide network of food banks, recently received a $5 million donation from Taylor Swift.
"We're incredibly grateful to Taylor Swift for her generous $5 million donation to Hurricanes Helene and Milton relief efforts," the organization's CEO Claire Babineaux-Fontenot, wrote in a statement on Instagram on October 9. "This contribution will help communities rebuild and recover, providing essential food, clean water, and supplies to people affected by these devastating storms. Together, we can make a real impact in supporting families as they navigate the challenges ahead."
On October 4, country icon Dolly Parton pledged to donate $1 million toward hurricane relief efforts. CBS News reported that the money will go to Mountain Ways, which is "a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to providing immediate assistance to the victims of Hurricane Helene flooding," per its website.
"These are special people here; they're my people," Dolly Parton said, announcing her decision to donate at a Walmart in Newport, Tennessee, per CBS. "I feel like all people are my people, but everyone here grew up in the mountains just like I did, so of course I have a close connection to them. I can't stand to see anyone hurting, so I wanted to do what I could to help after these terrible floods."
Additionally, Luke Combs, Eric Church, Billy Strings, and James Taylor plan to headline Concert for Carolina, a benefit concert held to support those impacted by Hurricane Helene. "100% of all proceeds will be going directly to those who need it most," Combs wrote on Instagram on October 7.
Church, who collaborated with Combs to plan the concert, also released a new song, "Darkest Hour," to raise money to help people affected by the disaster.
