Wheel of Fortune has been gracing the airwaves since 1975, delighting audiences with its word puzzles. Hosts Pat Sajak and Vanna White are synonymous with the beloved program. This week, however, things are going to look a little different.
Pat’s daughter, Maggie Sajak, is temporarily filling in for Vanna while Vanna competes on Celebrity Wheel of Fortune. While this is just for this week, sometimes it's nice to shake things up.
This is not Maggie’s first rodeo. The country singer has performed Vanna’s letter-turning duties before, back in 2020. Her dad had surgery, so Vanna filled in for Pat and Maggie filled in for Vanna while Pat recovered.
Vanna will be competing against some well-known Jeopardy! personalities. Mayim Bialik announced on Instagram that she will be taking on fellow Jeopardy! host Ken Jennings and Vanna. The night is billed as the "Ultimate Host Night."

Maggie shared the news of stepping into Vanna’s shoes on her Instagram stories.
"I hope to make Vanna proud," she mused.
Her dad could not be prouder. "I think I'm gonna cry,” he revealed.
In 2021, Maggie became Wheel’s social correspondent, helping the show expand its audience to the younger generation. Maggie was a natural choice for the role.
"The Wheel of Fortune staff and crew have always been like an extended family. And I'm thrilled to be working with them,” Maggie said at the time.
“It’s a real privilege to be able to treat the show's longtime viewers to a look at what goes on when the cameras aren't rolling. Plus, I get to use the carpool lane with my father," she quipped.
Pat is a proud father of two. Besides Maggie, he also has a son, Patrick Michael James Sajak. He shares both with wife Lesly Brown, whom he has been married to since 1989.
Both Patrick and Maggie have visited Pat on the set over the years and even made appearances on the show as children. Patrick is a doctor who is currently working as a resident at York Hospital. Pat shared the good news on Wheel.
“Listen, I couldn’t be prouder, and I tried to get him into geriatrics, but he refused, but that’s a personal thing. Anyway, congratulations, son,” he joked in his typical fashion.
Beyond Wheel, Maggie is quite accomplished in her own right. She graduated from Princeton University and completed a graduate degree at Columbia. She is now working on her law degree.
