Mamie Laverock is officially home from the hospital. The news was shared on her official Facebook page. "Dreams do come true. Welcome Home Mamie," an August 19 post read. The caption accompanied two photos: one of a rainbow balloon arch and a multicolor cake, and one of a homemade "home sweet home" sign featuring a photo of Mamie. The When Calls the Heart actress, 20, is still recovering from the five-story fall in May that left her with "life threatening injuries." In a response to a comment on the post, the Facebook page explained that Mamie is "still severely injured."
"We will take care of her privately," the comment continued. "She needed to be at home. So happy for her."
Mamie first went to the hospital in Canada on May 11 because of an unspecified "medical emergency." On May 26, her family shared that she fell while at the hospital.
Mamie "was escorted out of a secure unit of the hospital and taken up to a balcony walkway from which she fell five stories," according to an update from Mamie's family on a GoFundMe page that has since been deleted.
After the fall, Mamie's family also shared that Mamie's "body has been shattered." The fall also caused her "tremendous pain."

Because of the fall, Mamie had to undergo "multiple extensive surgeries," and her family noted that "her road to recovery will be long," according to a June 26 Facebook update.
On August 2, Mamie stood and took her first steps since the fall happened. A video shared on Mamie's Facebook page showed her push herself off the hospital bed with some assistance. Medical staff members then helped her take her first steps.
In July, Mamie's family shut down the GoFundMe page after raising about $28,220 to help cover Mamie's medical expenses. "The Fund has now closed. Please know how much you helped this family in our hardest circumstances. Thank you for caring. Warmth, Nicole and Rob," Mamie's mom and her stepfather, Rob Compton, said at the time.
A message that appeared to be from Mamie herself was also shared at the time: "Thank you so much. I don't even know what to say. My heart is full."
On August 19, a video of Mamie arriving back home was shared on her Facebook page. In the video, multiple people were waiting for Mamie to arrive, and cheered once she did.
