Sep. 29–The Manhattan penthouse where John Lennon lived for 18 months in what he referred to as his "Lost Weekend" has hit the market for $5.5 million.
Lennon shared the home at 434 East 52nd Street in New York City with his mistress May Pang before going back to Yoko Ono in 1975.
"By the time of the Lennon-Pang affair, Lennon had already peaked with the success of the Beatles and was doing his thing with his own music and solos," writes TopTenRealEstateDeals.com.
While working on his fifth solo album, Walls and Bridges, Lennon and Pang rented and moved into the 4,000-square-foot, three-story penthouse that has an enormous 2,000-square-foot wrap-around terrace overlooking the East River and a panoramic view of New York City. From this terrace, the pair reported seeing a UFO.
