Marjorie Taylor Greene Has An Issue With MAGA Women Who ‘Puff Up Their Lips’

Now that President Donald Trump has called her a “traitor” and turned against her, Marjorie Taylor Greene is not holding anything back when talking about the current state of the MAGA movement. Once a Trump loyalist, Greene clearly believed in Trump’s ability to “Make America Great Again.” She’s already been critiquing “weak Republican men” for a while now, but during a recent interview with the New York Times, she mentioned a problem she has with MAGA women.

As a mom of two daughters, the way Republican women tend to look (think Mar-a-Lago face) is concerning to her. Referring to the MAGA beauty trends for women as “MAGA Mar-a-Lago sexualization,” she said she’s worried about the message it sends to young girls.

It’s something she’s been meaning to talk about.

Given that Greene has many other gripes with the current state of the MAGA movement, her feelings about MAGA women had not come up yet. But during her recent interview with the New York Times, she revealed that the Mar-a-Lago face trend has been bothering her for some time now.

“I never liked the MAGA Mar-a-Lago sexualization,” she stated. “I believe how women in leadership present themselves sends a message to younger women.” Greene didn’t name names, but she did provide some examples of what this “MAGA Mar-a-Lago sexualization” looks like in practice.

“I have two daughters, and I’ve always been uncomfortable with how those women puff up their lips and enlarge their breasts,” she said.

Recently, women in Trump’s circle have been called out for their “Mar-a-Lago makeovers.”

If you’ve noticed that lots of Republican women seem to be embracing the same aesthetic, you’re not imagining it. In November 2025, Axios reported that plastic surgeons in Washington D.C. have received more requests for “Mar-a-Lago face” looks from those in Trump’s circle. It seems like “quiet luxury” is a thing of the past, and women who work with Trump don’t seem to mind looking like they’ve had work done (voluminous lips are one of the key features of this look).

Per The Guardian, some people suspect that those who are embracing this trend are catering to Trump’s beauty expectations. At the very least, he does seem to be a fan of the look based on the creepy comment he made about White Press House Secretary Karoline Leavitt. During an event in December 2025, Trump focused on Leavitt’s appearance when introducing her. “We even brought our superstar today, Karoline,” he said at the event. “Isn’t she great? Is Karoline great? You know, when she goes on television, Fox, like, I mean, they dominate, they dominate when she gets up there with that beautiful face.”

He then added, “And those lips that don’t stop. Pop-pop-pop like a little machine gun.” Is it Leavitt’s fault that Trump was being creepy? Nope. But it’s easy to see why the “MAGA Mar-a-Lago sexualization” doesn’t sit well with Greene.
